In this article I’m going to walk you through the simplest way to setup your website so it attracts visitors, builds your list, and most importantly converts those visitors into paying customers fast.
The secret behind this method is the order of the steps so make sure and follow it as I lay it out.
Understand this is a proven method that has worked for me in many different niches/markets with different products and services even in niches where no one has heard of me before.
So whatever it is you are selling or promoting online, this works.
Let’s get started…
How To Get Traffic The FREE Way
It all starts with traffic. If you can’t get visitors to come to your site then nothing else matters. One of the biggest problems facing most marketers is they don’t know where to start when it comes to attracting visitors to their site.
It can seem like an overwhelming task with so many options and many people get caught up in all the ‘guru’ talk. So here’s a simple way you can use and follow:
1 Shoot a short tutorial video (2-5min long)
2 Publish on Youtube (plus other video sharing sites)
3 Embed this video in a related blog post (encourage comments)
4 Share the post on social media platforms
5 Engage with those who comment on the video
6 Link to your capture/squeeze page below the video (to get them on your list)
Step 2) The Capture/Squeeze page – Building a list
The primary job of your capture/squeeze page is to collect leads so there are only a few things you need:
- A compelling headline (explaining what they will get after they enter their email)
- A place for the visitor to enter their email (so they can get it!)
This may seem strange what I’m about to say but, If you’re going to sell things online then you need to first be willing to give things away… meaning ”freebie” offers.
Matter of fact many top online marketers use this one single page and giveaways as the foundation for their online empires without even needing a blog.
But there’s a right and wrong way to build a list. I won’t waste time on the wrong way
Here’s the right way…
Give away your best stuff and make sure it’s relevant to your primary offer. Be willing to share some tip or strategy other marketers would never give away.
Doing this will earn the trust of your subscribers and they’ll buy from you.
Step 3) The Pre-Sell Page
This is where the pros separate themselves from everyone else.
Once someone has given you their email most novice marketers will send them to a sales page but I do things a little different.
I send them to a pre-sells page filled with free content usually in the form of a video. The main point of this “free content” page is to allow the visitor to digest the free gift you promised and move them to the sales page by providing a link at the bottom of the video.

Step 4) The Sales Page
So now your visitors have arrived to your sales page and the thing to remember is if there on this page they are probably ready to buy from you.
Get their attention!
You’ve already delivered on your promise and given them great value on the free content page or “bridge” and they still want more.
Now you’re going to present your 1st offer to them. Here you want to make sure to price this front-end product right. Tests have shown the best price range to be between $10-$50.
I like video courses priced around $47.
The main key here is to make sure this sales page tells he visitor exactly what they get and how it benefits them.
We have a training course where we teach our students how to use a simple 12-step sales letter template for every offer we market, which you can learn more about later.
It saves a tremendous amount of time because you can just replace the content from one sales letter with relevant words for another and not have to start over each time.
Step 5) The “Checkout” Page
At the end of your sales page will be a button that says “Buy Now” or “Add to Cart” and when they click on it, it will take them to a page provided by whatever shopping cart you are using.
There are quite a few shopping cart providers such as Paypal. If you use Paypal then the customer is taken away from your website and taken to Paypal to complete the transaction.
This is o.k. for most people but if you want to get the most out of your funnel and squeeze every bit of profit you can from the process then you might want to look at another option for your shopping cart.
I highly recommend Samcart because it’s not complicated, it gives you all the tools you need to make additional sales after the first transaction and it’s easy to set-up.
Once you’ve got your “checkout” page you have the basic funnel complete. Now there are some additional things you can add to this model and especially you will want to create an email follow-up sequence to continue engaging with your customers but I’ll have to cover that at a later date.
